Size Charts

The following information contains measuring tips and size guidelines to help you determine the correct fit of a garment. Vintage clothes are usually sized by inches, rather than standard sizes, so it's important to have your correct overall measurements. For the most accurate results, try to have someone help you take your measurements. If you need additional sizing or measurement information about a specific item, please click the "Inquire about this Item" button on the items' detail page.

  Where to measure:

  • Torso: (for swimsuits) Measure from the center of shoulder at front, over fullest part of bust, under crotch and back to starting point.

  • Bust: Measure around the fullest part of the bust and back, keeping arms at your sides. Make sure tape is level.

  • Waist: Measure around the narrowest part of the waist. Try bending to the side to find the natural indent.

  • Hips: Measure around the fullest part of the hips, keeping the legs together and the tape level.

  • Inseam: Wear shoes and have someone measure your leg from center crotch to the length desired (e.g. below the ankle).

  • Head: (for hats) Wrap a tape measure around the head approximately 1/2 inch above ears and across forehead. For greater accuracy, have someone else take the measurements.
