Shop Name: Metro Retro
Circa: 1960s
Description: Turquoise silk with rich gold thread are transformed to create this Red Carpet evening dress. Magnificent purple, red and green paisleys and florals in a variety of sizes adorn the dress. Note the upper bodice has two paisleys to the side on a turquoise background, while the lower lower has the paisley centered right between the the two upper paisleys and is sitting upon a gold metallic threaded background (see photo of bodice). Darts are formed at the princess waistline and raise up to form a gentle pleat in the bodice. The detailing of the skirt is fabulous with the front opening into an inverted V to reveal a turquoise silk panel. The sides and back of the skirt also have the same paneling to create an apron effect. This one of a kind dress is fully lined in silk. Inside the dress by the waist, an elastic band with a hook and eye has been placed to clinch the waist. The outer closures are a hidden zipper and a hook and eye on the back collar.
Measurements:  Bust is 36'', waist is 30'', hips are 32'', shoulder to shoulder is 15 1/2'', sleeve is 6'' and length is 41''.
